splendid day. simplicity is the best!

i woke up early in the morning and set off to the west ~~~ to boon lay, duh! today we had our last wish collection at grace orchard school. initially, i thought we would have a hard time conveying our message to them. but who knows, the situation is so much better than wad i have expected.

and for once, i can really feel that we are gaw-ing. i mean for the past experiences, the children either request for absurb items or not appreciative towards us. but today, we really saw the innocence that every child should have. and it made me realised that kids nowadays are too "commercialized". in the sense that they are control by wad the media portrays, which lead them to the kinds of items that they want.

today the kids are mildly intellectually disabled or autistic. and they asked for simple items like bag, watches, toys etc etc. and they are so easily satisfied that the simplest game is enough to suffice them. and from there, we can really see the 童真in the child. they are not materialistic and simple stuffs would make their day. perhaps our presence there is enough to bring a smile to their face. :)

and although they'r abit ID/autistic, i think they deserve our utmost respect. unlike normal kids/us, anything would be fine for them. and it lead me ponder on stuffs about our expectations of the children. we came in gaw, thinking that kids should and have remained the innocence that they should have. and once we realised that it wasn't wad we wanted, we get pekcek/ blame the children for not being the way they should be. perhaps, it's time to reflect the stuffs that we can give them, non materialistically.

after that went to have dinner at jurong point and we headed to arcarde. mans. it's been ages since the last time i played dance dance revolution!!!! wahh. damn happpy lohh! but i realised i got tired very easily. hur hur hur. meaning, i've aged! =((

and i just made up with xiaofen. due to some unseen circumstances,we haven't been on good terms for 2 years. and cause of a particular incident, we got back!! =) and it's been great knowing that my friend haven't change a single bit. really gotta thank her for pulling me back to reality, and asked me a question that left me stumbled. and thank her for helping me in wadever ways that she can. i really appreciate it.

don know if she will ever read this, but i'm really thankful to have such a friend like you! :):):)

and of coz, i'm thankful for all my friends who have been very supportive of me. helping me here and there! people like janeatcia, mr pow, ziqian, tingx etc etc!
