today i met up with laura and jiancheng for a visit to the museum of broken relationships at esplanade. i've seen the poster at esplanade before.. but i've never thought of visiting it mainly:
1. i didn't know it's a museum;
2. "broken relationships" doesn't appeal to me
3. i thought there's admission fee
yup, so we 3 (wad a weird combination!) headed to the museum, with me not expecting alot from it.
but woohooo, it's really a different experience. it's actually a museum for people to donate wadever items that are related to broken relationships. it can mean anything.. but it's so bgr-ish. so most of the stuffs there are about breakups (like duh). there will be a short writeups for every items, saying the stories behind each items. it's damn coool la.
and i remembered 2 items vivdly. one is a poem written when the girl broke up with her bf. somehow, i felt connected with the poem. as if i can feel the pain in that girl instantly, the other one is a small bottle containing teardrops. according to the writer, he/she will send over the bottle to his/her ex once it's filled up. like damn sad la.
and there this book that allows people to pen down wadever. be it rubbish or love stories. wadever stuffs! and i saw 2 that i really like alot!
i've always like stuffs that are handwritten, especially letters. it makes things so real and full of sincerity. and this 2 letters kinda touched my heart, although it's a heartbreaking letter. sigh.
the museum not very big.. it's just a small enclosed area, but u can spend about a good 45 mins there. i think the museum is until this sat or sun.. and they will be off to their next destination,.. which i don know where. btw, singapore is their first asian stop. and the museum is from berlin i think. can't really rmb. i was reading through the brochure and came to realise that the museum is set up to keep all the past broken relationships. like since we have museum for wars/wadever, we should also have one for relationships. i find it quite interesting neh.it gave me a totally different feeling after looking and reading through all the stuffs. somewhat down feeling. and it makes me realised that everyone has their own unique story to tell,be it happy or sad. aiya, i jus felt connected with the writers there la, perhaps coz we all experience the same stuffs before.

after that jiancheng pei-ed me get cake for jihui's bday.. and it's quite interesting chatting with him. like we'll talk about the museum, and some philosophical stuffs. and i found that he's quite a good partner to talk this kind of stuffs to!

ssince it's a surprised bday party, i have to reach earlier than them to hide the cake! and mans.... we actaully sat there for 1 hr (coz we had to wait for the other 2 persons) before ordering our food. and by the time the food came, i almost died of hunger. we ate at the manhanttan fish market btw.

we had swensen's ice cream cake! i still prefer those traditional bday cake! :)

damn spastic can. especially the merlion-looking creature. obviously it and siahjen got 深仇大恨that it can't wait to eat him up. and this photo 衬托 the betterlooking side of siahjen. i find this photo hilarious anyway.
