today after lunch, me and a few other colleagues were brought to rit carlton for some chocolate showcase. i was damn happy and excited when The Partner said he will bring me there~ yay yay~ initially we thought there will be some chocolate demo, but there wasn't~ so sad uh.
but nonetheless, i ate alot alot of cakes and chocolate!
this is the worst eclairs that i have ever had. =/
cakes that taste like flour.
oh. i don mean the food are bad. i'm just being critical here and point out the lousier one. the food are either too bland or too sweet. overall, some were really nice!
they have nice coffee and tea tooo! heh heh~!
after walking round the room for tasting, me and the other girl got tired and sat down~ she's from Anhui province~ quite a cute and cheerful girl, who talks super fast! i just told her some of singapore stuffs looo.
headed back to the restaurant after this~ after work, went to meet some seniors and batchmates to discuss about out tibet trip in april~ i hope to go manss... and hopefully boss is kind enough to let me stay in tibet longgerrr. pray harrddd.
anyway, yesterday we went fudan to do some medical checkup thing.. we wanted to go for lessons in the afternoon, but we were late for the checkup in the morning. so we had to pon the afternoon lesson for the checkup. hurrr. wad a bad start.
we will study hard!

this was taken on yuan xiao too~ when i was in other batchmates house to eat tang yuan. and since they stay the same area, i decided to visit sinen! she jus came back from beijing the day before~ mans. i was so enlightened (and at the same time baffled) by wad she told me.
yup, she has definitely grown fatter.

2nd day of work.
my work will officially start at 10.30am. coz my boss didn't want me to squeeze with the morning people (so sweet of him).. anyway, not like i got alot of things to do in the morning la. so i reach slightly later.. went to do some delivery near the technology park (btw, the place that i'm working is full of expats, MNCs, tech building etc etc.. so me and the other girl delivered the food to GE building..
after the busy period.. my boss treated me to our house lunch.. (i'm not sure if i'm supposed to reveal the name of my company here).. hm.. i think better not laaa. after lunch, he brought me to another branch at puxi.. it's quite near my house actually.. and i really love the design of the cafe. although it's small.. it's cosyy.
okay, picture speaks a thousand words.
my boss was there to do a photoshoot. he's featured in one of SH magazine nx month. so coool can~
after that was back to the restaurant.. and then i saw the hebei (not hubei) guy again.. let's call him the 59 guy.. coz he works from 5-9pm everyday. then we started talking about the education system in china. and i was really shocked when he told me that secsch/jc study 15 hrs a day. like their lessons end at 11pm, they will zzz at 11.30pm and wake up at 5am for morning exercise. i'm like damn shocked laaa.
actually china people are not as ___fill in the blank____ as most people think it is. they are actually nice people.. some la.. jus that it's the place that they are born in that make that wad they are today; and that's not their fault completely.
yesterday, my boss' partner (the one who welcomed me. i shall call him The Partner) told me that people here don have much money.. even if they do have money, they wouldn't spend on traveling.. so they don really know the world outside.. and tt's not their faults; it's not their faults that they born in this country. hm.. after hearing this, i felt abit guilty for having negative perceptions on them.. oh. and i think i learn alot from my boss.. he's so knowledgable that sometimes things jus go in and out of my head. tsk!
i wanted to take pic while on my way home.. but it drizzled and it's freaking cold.
sch has already started ( i jus knew it today).. it started on monday la.. so.. bascially, we skipped our first lesson! wad a bad start!

first day of work.
wah wah wah. today's my first day of work~ i woke up at 9 plus amd got ready for work. i think i'm quite lucky to start work at 11am today.. and 10.30am for my subsequent days. damn shuang can. anyway, initially i was really abit sian that i'm working in service industry. like wth. in singapore, i also got work with the china people.. then come here also work with them.. like abit funny uh.. BUT, i recalled wad sinen told me about her senior working in coffee bean.. like how he perservere and excel in his work..
soooo, i'm so going to be proud of wad i'm doing.. and really socialize with my colleagues. actually i realise they are really nice people la.. like there's this guy, he's year one studying in some shanghai uni.. then he work from monday to fri, 5 pm to 9pm.. and he got alot of initiatives when working lo. i'm pretty amazed by it. like seldom see guys so hardworking de. anyway, he's from hubei.
ohoh, back to my work.. i was welcomed by a singaporean..who is the partner of my boss.. he's nus grad. and he went france( i think) to learn cooking after he grad loh.. like wow wow wow! oh. anyway, he really go into the details in teaching me everything..
oh. then in the evening, i met up with my boss. coz he jus got back from japan! so we chatted again.
i think i really learn alot today.. like the history of china, business strategies, shanghai culture, info abt my company.. mans. i'm so overloaded with infomation.
okay.. i think i should rest now and prepare for tmr le!:)

ahhh. i can feel a thick layer of dust/germs/cobwebs covering my blog~ it's been so long since i last blogged.
i just got back from nanjing last night (i promise i will blog abt it in my travel blog! manss. i'm really behind time le. hur).. and we just got our internet fixed last night. i'm surviving without internet for quite some time eh.. actually there's really nothing i can do online except for checking mails... ( after i came to SH, i realise that using the net aimlessly is really a pure waste of time.. ) i've got only approx 10 months here.. so i shouldn't spend alot time on the net ahhh.
there's like really so much that i wanna blog about, but i just can't string all my thoughts into words instantly. it's like my life has changed the moment i reached SH. new friends are my new family members. and there's so much changes in my life that i'm still trying hard to adapt to it. school and work are starting soon; i can predict a damn busy life ahead. manssss...
okay, i think i should head to bed now.. it's 4 am in the morning.. and we have to go to school for some registration thingy. I will TRY to update more about my life in SH!!! and hopefully i won't be lazy to upload photos here. hur hur.

Pre-departure
okay, now that i'm leaving tomorrow.. i've having abit of mixed feelings now (as always).
my life currently is so nice and relac that i don feel like leaving anymore. BUT, i need to leave of course. meeting up with friends make me realise that we'v really grown old le. now we don't talk about stuffs that happen months ago.. now it's years~ omggg. like damn old le la.
yupyup, i know life in shanghai will be damn hard.. but then.. only tough things will make me stronger. i'm pretty prepared for the challenges that i will be facing over there. i hope.
okay, i need to pack my luggage now. i don wanna pack the day before (like wad i did for yep trip)

errand day! + fooood and moreee foooooD!
oh mans. today's really errand day~ but the errand-ing part came in when i'm in school as i need to rush from one place to another place.
in the afternoon, i met up with mr pow for a quick lunch!
we had seafood harvest for lunch. (agh, seafood again!)
ehh. some grilled seafood don know wad. but it was quite horrible. the prawns are as small as ikan bilis. thennn.. can't believe that they replace crab using crab stick. oh mans. it's either they don put the crabstick or put real crab meat lah. tsk. totally spoil the whole thing lo. but luckily there's potato! my fav~
the tasteless pasta and mr pow. (i caught u okayy!)
after lunch, i went to automobile association to apply for international driving permit. okay, i'm not going to drive in shanghai.. but i tot it's good to have it around. no harm la.
after that headed to sch! met koonyiak on bus yo. the world is so small.
wah wah, i really did alot of things in school.
in order:
1. collect insurance and IE awards certificate from noc office.
2. got influenza vaccine from wellness center
3. failed in posting out some mail
4. printed notes at CBLC
5. collect stuffs from my locker
6. get stuffs from geehoe
okay, not really alot.. but it's many enough to make me walk all over the school!
anyway, we had our steamboat dinner at the clubroom! and this year's really got alot of ppl~
tsk tsk tsk. i'm so going to miss the clubroom when it shifts room.
okay, i can't believe that my current life revolves about food. to the extent that food makes me puke. sooner or later la. ahhh. i bet janicia will be damn happpy if she were me. tsk! it's really horrible when you don't know where to go for lunch tomorrow when you jus had ur meal. ahhh. it's like the best thing to do when meet ups is to eat and eaT and EAT.
i went out for supper (food, again!) soon after i reach home! hurrr.
ahh. i can feel that i'm really old le. like when i was taking bus with tiongwei.. all i can remember is 5th MC de tiongwei.. like now he's graduating le.. and during 5th MC period, he's only year 2 lo while i'm year 1. mans. time flies. tsk tsk tsk.
okay, more food for me tomorrow coz i'll be meeting kianmeng! agH!

今天是人日！
Happy Birthday, Everyone!
today as usual I zzz till noon time. continue nua-ing even when i'm awake until dinnertime! hohoh. and we went to singapore flyer for dinner! i don mean eating the capsules la. we went to the seafood paradise for dinner!
so while waiting for our yusheng to arrive, sis and i walked to the river!
the above 2 pictures are taken by me! haha. i tot my photography skill is amazing...
but i think my sis' skill is more zai then me. she's upped lo. she even taught me how to pose for pictures (as shown in the 3rd pic). i seriously should hide under my pillow and cry. kidding laaa. but still, i love the 4th picture!coz it's so beautiful~ hahaa. i mean the flyer beautify the picture, and not the other way round. HAHA!
oh anyway, back to the dinner~
the reason y we chose that restuarant is coz:
1. nearest jumbo restuarants are fully booked.
2. we haven't tried other restaurants except jumbo and this restaurant.
3. we find that this restaurant's food is relatively good. at least for their signature creamy butter crab.
so off we go to seafood paradise!
the food was ok lahh. shark fin's a little disappointed. there's like only a few strands of fins.
fish was normal.
kangkong was bad. i felt like i'm eating tree branches.
duck was miraculously nice, except for the fatty skin part which i ate it anyway.
seafood fried rice was nice tooo. way better than jumbo's.
chilli crab was normal.
and the best part is...

okay, i koped this picture from the internet, coz:

2. it isn't veh nice to do so considering that there's guests around. (yes, we treated a family of 4)
okay, this crab is damn nice!!!! the first time that i went there with my family, my mum and i whipped the gravy up lo, coz it's damn niceeeee. seriously, no kidding. it's not those carbonara sauce.. so thick and veh 膩。it's machiam more like a soupp. with a tinge of pepper flavour. IT'S DAMN NICEEEEEE..
okay, anyway, i almost fainted when the bill was passed to me. oh mans. i've never sign such a hefty amount before. wad's more it's just only a meal. mans. i don know how much i have to save and scrimp before can save up to that amount. oh well, i hope more money will roll into my family. HAHA!
oya oya! janicia called me when i'm on my way back home! coooool~ have fun in NYC mans! hahahaha. both in the city and the company*winks* yoooo. haHAHAHAHA.
4 more days before i leave sunny Singapore!
